UP Families In Munich e.V. is a community organization based in Munich, Germany, dedicated to bringing together people with a shared cultural heritage—specifically those from Uttar Pradesh, India. Their mission is clear: to “share, care & celebrate together” and to help pass on cultural values to the next generation.
The group organizes cultural festivals, social gatherings, and charitable initiatives that foster unity, provide mutual support, and create a sense of home away from home.
One of the group’s most cherished traditions is the annual Janmashtami celebration at our own Sivaalayam Temple, held for the past three years. This event is close to the community’s heart, as Lord Krishna was born in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It brings together families and friends to honor this heritage through devotional music, dance, rituals, and festive activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere that connects everyone to their roots.
