Historic Maha Kumbhabhishekam of Berlin’s Ganesha Temple Marks a Milestone for the Indian Diaspora in Germany

Amb Ajit Gupte and Mrs Priti Gupte participated in Maha Kumbhabhishekam at new Ganesha Temple, Berlin on 7 June 2026. Other dignitaries present were Senator for Integration @canselkiziltepe and Berlin’s Deputy Mayor, @franziskagiffey
Built entirely through community support, the Temple is among Europe’s largest Hindu temples, with idols crafted by artisans from India; in accordance with 5,000-year-old Agamic traditions.
The consecration marks a landmark moment for Indian diaspora in Germany.
