Celebrating the timeless message of the Bhagavad Gita in Austria!
The Embassy, in partnership with the University of Vienna, organised a vibrant International Gita Mahotsav in Vienna on 9 December.
✨ Highlights of the Event:
1️⃣ Address by Ambassador:
Amb. Shambhu Kumaran reflected on the enduring relevance of the Bhagavad Gita, highlighting its many dimensions and how its teachings continue to offer clarity and purpose in today’s complex world.
2️⃣ Panel Discussion:
A thought-provoking session on “Dialogues on Dharma and Global Ethics: Insights from the Gita”, featuring Professors and Researchers from Universität Wien, who shared perspectives on duty, harmony, and the Gita’s global ethical impact.
3️⃣ Art Exhibition 🖼️:
A captivating showcase of paintings by local artists, presenting diverse and creative interpretations inspired by the Gita.
4️⃣ Cultural Performance :
A graceful Bharatanatyam presentation that beautifully brought alive the spiritual essence of the Gita.
Members of the Indian community, friends of India, and scholars of Indian philosophy joined the celebration—making it an evening of reflection, cultural exchange, and shared appreciation of India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
