Hello everyone,
My name is Santosh Kumar, an Indian living in Madrid, Spain. It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I share the tragic news of the sudden passing of Sidhant Ranjan, a young and ambitious student from India who had recently moved to the Netherlands to pursue his dreams and build a better future.
On March 13, 2026, while visiting Madrid, Spain, Sidhant was involved in a tragic road accident. While crossing the road, he was struck by a car and immediately rushed to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, Sidhant sadly passed away due to a severe brain injury. He was only 24 years old.
Sidhant was a bright, hardworking student with big dreams for himself and his family. His sudden loss has left his loved ones devastated.
The Indian High Commissions in Spain and the Netherlands are assisting with the official procedures and the repatriation of Sidhant’s remains back to his home in India. However, his family is now facing a serious financial crisis.
Coming from a humble background, Sidhant had taken an educational loan of approximately €15,000 (around INR 13.5 lakh) to pursue his studies in the Netherlands. With his untimely passing, this financial burden now falls entirely on his grieving family, who are not in a position to repay such a large amount.
This fundraiser has been created to help his family repay this loan and provide some financial relief during this incredibly difficult time.
Our goal is to raise €15,000, which will go directly toward clearing the educational debt so that his parents are not left carrying the financial weight of a dream that ended far too soon.
