Student Registration Module on MADAD Portalto for Indians

19th April, 2017

To     :         Heads of the Indian Associations in Germany

Dear colleagues,

I would like to share with you that in July 2016 Ministry of External Affairs launched a Student Registration Module on MADAD Portalto build a database of Indian students pursuing courses in foreign colleges and universities.  As of today, nearly 11,000 students have registered themselves on the portal but against an approximate number of 6.5 lakh Indian students studying in Universities abroad, this figure is negligible.

I therefore urge upon you to encourage Indian students studying in German Universities to register themselves voluntarily on the MADAD Portal since this database is intended to be a valuable resource for formation of policies by the Government and will be useful for us in helping students in need.
