Strengthening Skill Mobility and Cooperation between Hessen & Kerala
Consul General Ms. Shuchita Kishore, along with Mr. Shanvasa S, IAS, Special Secretary (Labour & Skills Excellence), Mr. Sufiyan Ahmed, IAS, Managing Director, Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE), and Mr. Vinod T. V., COO, KASE, met H.E. Ms. Heike Hofmann, Hessen State Minister for Labour, Integration, Youth & Social Affairs, in Wiesbaden on 13 October 2025.
The Minister was joined by Ms. Manuela Strube, State Secretary, Hessian Ministry of Labour, Integration, Youth & Social Affairs.
The delegation also had a brief interaction with Mr. Benedikt Kuhn, Head of the Hessian State Chancellery.
Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Hessen and Kerala in areas of skilled workforce, apprenticeships, and student mobility. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to ethical, sustainable, and skill-based mobility pathways, and to strengthening institutional collaboration.
The delegation also visited WelcomeCenter Hessen, a central hub supporting international professionals with guidance on living, working, and integrating in the region. The center plays a vital role in promoting Hessen’s welcoming culture and global workforce mobility.
