Strengthening India Portugal Academic Ties

Ambassador puneet.kundal welcomed Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University (nalanda_university), during his visit to Portugal. The meeting highlighted the shared commitment to deepen academic and cultural cooperation between India and Portugal.

Portugal is among the 17 founding countries that signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing the historic Nalanda University, a symbol of India’s ancient tradition of learning and global exchange of knowledge.

During the interaction, both sides discussed opportunities to enhance collaboration between Nalanda University and Portuguese academic and research institutions through student exchanges, joint research projects, and academic partnerships.

The Embassy of India in Portugal (@IndiainPortugal) reaffirmed its support for strengthening educational ties and promoting mutual understanding through knowledge, culture, and innovation.
