On November 19, 2024, Consul General Mr. B S. Mubarak and Consul & Head of Chancery Mr. Vibha Kant Sharma visited TU Darmstadt and met with Prof. Dr. Thomas Walther, Vice President for Innovation & International Affairs, as part of their efforts to broaden outreach and guarantee the welfare of Indian students.
Other department members attended the conference, including Mr. Lars Bergmeyer, Advisor, Asia/Pacific in International Relations Overseas Department, Mrs. Julia Fetzthum, Acting Head, Multimodal Grounded Learning, and Multimodal Reliable Artificial Intelligence.
Consul General Mr. Mubarak expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Walther for the cordial welcome at TU Darmstadt and offered his thoughts on enhancing India-TU Darmstadt cooperation in the areas of science and technology, artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, digitalization, and student exchange programs in accordance with DHIK.
Presentations were given by Prof. Dr. Walther and others about the courses that TU Darmstadt offers, their partnerships with Indian universities such as IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and others, and the courses, facilities, and scholarships they offer to attract an increasing number of Indian students. A very helpful presentation on the automation solutions that Telekinesis offers through their AI-powered robotics cloud platform was given by Mr. Suman Pal, co-founder of the company and a doctorate graduate of TU Darmstadt.
