An MoU was signed between the Permanent Representation of India to the FAO and the Rome-based UN agency @FAO for the refurbishment and modernization of the iconic and much-visited India Room at FAO headquarters.
Launched in FAO’s 80th year, this initiative reflects India’s strong and enduring commitment to multilateralism and its long-standing partnership with FAO. The project, fully supported by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, is expected to be completed by mid-2026.
The MoU was signed by Ambassador & Permanent Representative of India to FAO, Ms. Vani Rao, and Mr. Maurizio Martina, Deputy Director-General, FAO.
