Job posting for Project Manager in Germany

Job Description:

• We currently have a vacancy for a skilled Project Manager, fluent in English who will be working either remotely (offsite) or on proximity (onsite) to the client premises in Bonn. In the context of the assignment, the successful candidate will contribute to the execution of the delivery and the provision of expert management of the operation.

Your Tasks:

• Execute the delivery of the ICT work package based on the agreed schedule and budget, adhering to the PRINCE2 project management methodology and the internal project and portfolio management framework;
•  Develop sub-work packages, project documentation, project plans and other required management and technical documentation;
•  Provide expert management of day-to-day progress and operational aspects of the project and the delivery of the ICT work package;
• Run regular meetings (daily) inside ICT and with the implementing vendor
• Manage and control the overall scope of the ICT work package;
• Ensure a smooth integration of the ICT work package with other project work packages;
•  Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities, within the limits of authority;
• Coordinate work of and with external providers and internal resources;
• Support the PM of the project in ICT related matters;
•  Perform internal gate reviews as planned.
•  Ensure the quality of the different ICT deliverables;
• Review and approve ICT deliverables;
•  Participate in meetings with German governmental stakeholders involved in the project.

Requirements

• University degree in computer sciences, mathematics, engineering, or in a related discipline. Substantial professional experience in the field may be accepted in lieu of a degree in the relevant discipline;
• At least 5 years of experience in IT Project Management, including proven experience managing the successful delivery projects to the satisfaction of customers and end users;
• Certification and/or expert knowledge of a recognized IT Project Management methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, SCRUM) is strongly preferred;
• Experience in infrastructure related projects, and/or in similar projects, is desirable;\
•  Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff as well as end users;
• Able to manage his/her own time and dependencies effectively to deliver high-quality documents per the time frames agreed and escalating issues to the responsible manager as appropriate.
