Italian tourism industry pleads for government aid as Covid New variant hit tourism industry

The Italian travel industry on Monday pleaded for government help to assist with facilitating the effects of the most recent Covid restrictions, which prompted a heap of cancelations over the Christmas weekend. Of the 25 million outings planned by Italians during the Christmas season, 5,000,000 were dropped and 5.3 million others were shortened.

What’s more, Italian specialists have declared that cafés, just as clubs, are to stay shut until January 31 to slow the spread of the exceptionally infectious Omicron variation of coronavirus. According to a report led by SwG procedure counseling and warning firm, six out of 10 reviewed have gone through two days from home on Christmas, while simply 5% figured out how to travel abroad.

Confcommercio accepts that the public authority should uphold the travel industry area through financial interventions and worked with access to credit.
