The Embassy of India in Prague, in collaboration with the Czech Chamber of Commerce, launched the inaugural edition of India Meets Czechia – Let’s Talk Business — a new platform aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties between India and the Czech Republic.
The focus of the maiden event was on investment and business opportunities in India’s rapidly growing aerospace sector, spanning both civil and defense aviation. With India’s aerospace market expected to reach USD 54.4 billion by 2033, Czech industry leaders explored prospects for collaboration with Indian counterparts in this high-potential arena.
Event Highlights:
✔️Ambassador Raveesh Kumar emphasized India’s expanding aerospace sector and the critical role Czech companies can play in its evolution.
✔️Zdeněk Zajíček, President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the promising opportunities for Czech aerospace firms in India’s aviation landscape.
✔️David Müller, Director General, Ministry of Industry and Trade, reflected on the strengthening economic ties between the two nations, particularly in trade and investment.
✔️Vaclav Kobera, Director, Ministry of Transport, showcased Czechia’s strengths in space technologies and highlighted areas for cooperation with India.
Additional presentations included:
🔹️Invest India offered a detailed overview of investment prospects and government incentives across various aerospace sub-sectors.
🔹️Suhaan Mukerji, Consultant, provided insights on advisory support available to foreign investors navigating India’s aerospace and defense environment.
🔹️A representative from PBS Velká Bíteš shared the company’s successful experience operating in India, demonstrating the potential for fruitful Czech investments.
🔹️The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session and a networking reception, laying a robust foundation for continued cooperation under the India Meets Czechia initiative.
