India supports global animal health collaboration
India welcomes the FAO Global Partnership Programme for Transboundary Animal Diseases, reaffirming its commitment to stronger global animal health systems.
At the FAO, Ambassador Vani Rao, Permanent Representative of India, highlighted the country’s proactive efforts toward animal health safety — including digital platforms, disease surveillance, vaccination drives and community participation.
Ambassador Rao further emphasized India’s readiness to contribute to global early-warning systems and share expertise through South-South cooperation.
Together towards safer livestock, resilient food systems and sustainable agriculture.
