A two-member delegation from the @IndiaCoastGuard, led by Director General Paramesh Sivamani, AVSM, PTM, TM, #DGICG, participated in the 4th Global Coast Guard Summit (#CGGS) held in Rome, Italy, on 11–12 September 2025, alongside delegations from 115 countries.
In their addresses, the Prime Minister of Italy, H.E. Giorgia Meloni, and the Prime Minister of Japan, H.E. Shigeru Ishiba (virtually), emphasized the growing need for international cooperation in marine pollution response, maritime search and rescue, and law enforcement at sea.
The Summit focused on maritime security, environmental protection, and the fight against transnational crimes. On this platform, the #ICG delivered its keynote “Guardians Against the Blaze”, highlighting its expertise in tackling maritime fire emergencies.
Co-chaired by Italy and Japan, the #CGGS further strengthened global Coast Guard cooperation. On this occasion, the #ICG also announced India’s bid to host the 5th CGGS in 2027, reaffirming India’s commitment to global maritime leadership.
