Indian Delegation Launches INDICA – India Nordic Dialogue for Climate Investments in Norway
An Indian delegation from cGanga and Bharatia visited Norway on 18–19 June 2025 to launch INDICA – India Nordic Dialogue for Investments in Climate Action, an initiative to foster strong partnerships between India and the Nordic countries for a sustainable future.
The delegation included Mr. Sanmit Ahuja, Dr. Vinod Tare, Mr. Siddharth Desai, Mr. Arun Sabnis, Mr. Sanjay Guleria, Mr. Ganesh Kulkarni, Mr. Ajit Savadi, and Ms. Rupika Singh.
Day 1: Seminar and Strategic Dialogue
A high-impact seminar was held, co-organised by Bharatia and CETFI, in collaboration with the Embassy of India, Oslo, DLA Piper Norway, and the Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI).
Mr. Erik Solheim, former Norwegian Environment Minister, praised India’s rapid economic progress and highlighted pioneering climate initiatives in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, especially in the renewable energy space.

Investment opportunities in India’s climate sectors
Innovative financing models for sustainability
Focus areas: water, waste management, energy, and agriculture
Strengthening India–Nordic cooperation with the Global South
Day 2: Knowledge Exchange and Site Visits
The delegation visited:
VEAS, to explore cutting-edge wastewater treatment technologies
Klosser Innovasjon, for in-depth discussions on circular economy, clean tech, and potential collaborations
The visit served as a catalyst for building lasting ties between India and the Nordic region, opening doors to joint action on climate resilience and sustainable innovation.
