On 29 October, the Icelandic-India Trade Council and Business Iceland, along with Bharatia and the Embassy of India in Reykjavik, held a workshop titled “India–Iceland TEPA: Unlocking the Green Growth Corridor.”
Ambassador R. Ravindra spoke about the new opportunities created by the signing of the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). Mr. Ragnar Kristjánsson, Director General for External Trade & Economic Affairs at the MFA, explained the plan for the agreement’s implementation.
Mr. Sanmit Ahuja, MD & CEO of Bharatia, discussed possible areas of collaboration between India and Iceland. Mr. Árni Sigurjónsson, General Counsel at Marel and President of the Federation of Icelandic Industries, shared insights on Marel’s work in India.
The session, moderated by Mr. Bala Kamallakharna, focused on promoting cooperation in clean technology, trade, and sustainable growth between India and Iceland.
