Strengthening India–Czech Republic Academic Ties
Ambassador Raveesh Kumar met Prof. Milena Králicková, Rector of Charles University—one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious institutions—for a productive discussion on deepening cooperation in higher education.
The meeting explored pathways to expand partnerships between Indian universities and Charles University, enhance student and faculty mobility, and work towards the establishment of a dedicated Chair/Department of Indian Studies—a significant step in strengthening cultural and academic engagement between India and the Czech Republic.
As a symbol of growing collaboration, a curated collection of books on India was presented to establish an “India Corner” at the Charles University Library, offering students and researchers richer access to India’s heritage, diversity, and contemporary achievements.
We look forward to building even stronger academic bridges between India and Czechia.
