The 71st Independence Day of India (India@70) was celebrated by Porto Indian Community in association with INES TEC Institute, University of Porto and 3B’s Institute Braga at Porto Indian Community Hall in the evening of August 15, 2017. Approx. 80 people from Indian community, Indian students/researchers, Portuguese nationals and academicians attended the event. The programme included showcasing a short documentary film “India Boundless”, video messages from well-known Portuguese people, a short cultural performance by children and testimonial from Director, INES TEC.
Mr. Amararam Gurjar, Chargé d’affaires (Cd’A), addressed the gathering and highlighted India’s achievements in last seven decades as well as Government of India initiatives to build a “New India”.
