For the first time ever, the people of Erlangen witnessed a mega Indian event in the name of “Diwali Erlangen”.
The event was graced by chief guests like Honorable Consul General of India, Mr. Sugandh Rajaram, Mr.José Luis Ortega Lleras, Stadtrat, Erlangen, Ms.Liz Nicholsan, Ausländer- und Integrationsbeirat der Stadt Erlangen and Mr. Gerd Hoefner, Managing Director of Siemens Healthineers

Diwali Erlangen is the brainchild of two young men Dipankar Sarkar-the production manager of the event and Pavan Prasad-the creative director of the performances and well supported by the Indian communities of Franken region

There were 115 performers who put the grand show and entertained over 400 people that evening through a cultural journey of India. Each Indian culture was depicted by various dance forms presented by the various individual Indian communities existing in Erlangen today.

The event also gave an opportunity to one of its audience to win a free ticket to India and back in the form of a lucky draw.

The event was well appreciated ny the Intregation council , Stadt Erlangen and and article was published in Erlangen Nachricthen

Cultural activites were co-ordinated by D4Dance Performing Arts UG and DS Productions
and Souvents helped in management.
