Ambassador Acquino Vimal joined the Eid celebrations hosted by the Indian Muslim community in Oslo on April 5, 2025. He was warmly received with traditional customs, including a gentle sprinkle of rose water and the application of attar (perfume) on his hands—gestures that beautifully reflected the rich cultural heritage of the occasion.
Extending heartfelt Eid greetings to everyone present, the Ambassador expressed his happiness in witnessing the community united in festive joy and harmony. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings in nurturing a spirit of togetherness and cultural unity.
Engaging warmly with attendees, Ambassador Vimal also took part in a special moment requested by the community—distributing Eidi (Eid gifts) to children. Among the gifts were Norwegian-language editions of the beloved Amar Chitra Katha comics, thoughtfully shared by the Embassy to connect the younger generation with Indian stories in a language they know well.
The evening resonated with festive cheer, cultural camaraderie, and meaningful exchanges, leaving behind cherished memories for all who attended.
