Ambassador Ajit Gupte visited the headquarters of @reintjesgears Group in Hameln on 6 November 2025. Established in 1879, REINTJES Group is a global leader in designing and manufacturing high-performance gearbox systems used in both commercial and naval vessels.
During the visit, the Ambassador interacted with the company’s senior management and engineers, discussing REINTJES’ long-standing partnership with India’s maritime sector. For over four decades, REINTJES has been supplying reliable gearbox systems to the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard, contributing significantly to India’s shipbuilding and marine propulsion capabilities.
The company continues to strengthen its collaboration with Indian shipyards, meeting the growing demand for hybrid multi-purpose vessels being constructed in India for German and international clients. The visit underscored the importance of India–Germany industrial cooperation and the shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and advanced maritime technology.
