Public in general are hereby informed that the consular services in Consulate General of India, Frankfurt will remain suspended on 21 and 24 January 2022 due a positive Covid case of one of the officials of the Consulate. However, Consulate will remain open for emergency services.
- Consulate has already informed all the applicants who had booked their appointments on 21st and 24th January 2022. They have been requested to visit Consulate on 25th and 27th January 2022 respectively provided Consulate is able to resume services after all the staff members are tested negative on Monday, 24 January 2022. In case the suspension has to be extended to deal with any rise in infection, it will be notified via our Facebook page and website.
- Applicants may also note that with effect from 25 January 2022 onwards and till further notice, all applicants (except children below 5 years) will be allowed to enter Consulate only with 2G rule (those who have been fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid infection) plus a negative Schnell Test taken within less than 24hrs from an authorised centre. Therefore, Indian nationals who need emergency services but do not meet 2G rule, may send an email on cons.frankfurt@mea.gov.in so that special arrangements could be made and they are allowed to enter the Consulate with negative Schnell Test.
4. The above guidelines will remain in place until further notice.
