Chaired the Consul Generals Conference in New York today, bringing together senior representatives from the Embassy of India in Washington DC and all eight Consulates across the United States—New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, and Boston.
The meeting provided an important platform to review recent developments in India–US bilateral relations, assess progress across key priority areas, and share best practices in strengthening our diplomatic outreach. Discussions covered political and strategic engagement, economic and commercial cooperation, technology partnerships, and collaborative initiatives in education, health, and innovation.
A significant focus was placed on improving public service delivery, enhancing consular services, and ensuring seamless support to the Indian diaspora—the largest in the world outside India. We also deliberated on new opportunities to deepen cultural exchanges, expand community partnerships, and address emerging needs of the Indian community across different regions of the United States.
Appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and sustained efforts of our Embassy and all Consulates in reinforcing the India–US strategic partnership. Their collective commitment continues to advance mutual understanding, strengthen bilateral cooperation, and support our vibrant diaspora in meaningful ways.
