The city of Dresden celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great zeal and devotion. Mrs. Priti Gupte, spouse of Ambassador Ajit Gupte, warmly welcomed the Lord Mayor of Dresden, Mr. Dirk Hilbert, to the festivities and appreciated the efforts of the Indian Association Dresden e.V. for uniting the Indian community through this celebration.
The highlight of the event was the first-ever Ganesh procession in eastern Germany (outside Berlin), which attracted over 1,500 spectators. The vibrant procession began with an energetic Dhol Tasha performance and showcased more than 20 traditional folk dances, representing the cultural diversity of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
