Embassy of India, Oslo hosted a Meet & Greet with the Indian diaspora on 18 November 2025, welcoming the new Ambassador to Norway, H.E. Ms. Gloria Gangte.
The event brought together representatives of diverse Indian community organisations across Norway.
Ambassador @gloriagangte thanked the community for the warm welcome and their vibrant spirit. She highlighted key Government of India initiatives for the diaspora, including Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas and the Know India Programme.
She underlined the value of cultural continuity and strong community bonds, and encouraged the Indian community in Norway to support one another by sharing their knowledge and expertise.
Representatives of various organisations shared their ongoing cultural and social initiatives — sports, language classes, yoga lessons, langars, cultural events, and celebrations of Indian festivals.
They reiterated their commitment to ensure that younger generations born in Norway stay connected to their heritage, traditions and India.
