H.E. Shri Akhilesh Mishra, the Indian ambassador to Ireland, recently met with important representatives from Ernst & Young (EY) and Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). Senior EY executives, Mr. Amit B. Jain, Global Tax Desk Leader; Mr. Jugal Uday Kajaria, Director, Tax & Regulatory Services; and Mr. Jaiman Patel, Partner, Financial Services-Tax & Regulatory, were among them, along with Mr. Sandip Shah, Head of the IFSC Department at GIFT City.
Exploring investment prospects, strengthening financial cooperation, and highlighting India’s rising significance in global financial services—particularly through GIFT City, the country’s first operational smart city and international financial services hub—were probably the main goals of this meeting. With GIFT City playing a role, the summit also represents the continued attempts to improve India-Ireland connections in financial and regulatory concerns.
With GIFT City playing a crucial role in drawing in international financial institutions and promoting cross-border collaborations, the meeting also represents the continuous efforts to improve India-Ireland connections in the areas of finance and regulation.
