Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran met Mr. Laurenz Pottinger, MP and Head of the Health Committee of the Austrian Parliament in Vienna.
They held detailed and forward-looking discussions on strengthening India–Austria cooperation in the health sector, including research collaboration, knowledge exchange, capacity building and people-centric wellness initiatives. A special focus was placed on enhancing recognition and awareness of #Ayurveda in Austria, highlighting its preventive, holistic and integrative approach to healthcare.
The interaction reaffirmed the shared interest of both countries in promoting traditional medicine alongside modern healthcare systems and expanding avenues for institutional partnerships, academic engagement and professional exchanges.
