India–Cyprus Strengthen Health & Human Capital Cooperation
High Commissioner Mr. Manish met H.E. Mr. Neophytos Charalambides, the newly appointed Minister of Health of Cyprus, and conveyed warm wishes on his assumption of office.
In a friendly and constructive discussion, both sides explored expanding 🇮🇳–🇨🇾 cooperation in health and human capital. Conversations covered Indian scholarship opportunities for Cypriot students in alternative medicine Yoga, Ayurveda, pathways for skilled manpower mobility in line with regulations, digital health solutions, and procurement of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment from India in the context of the India–EU FTA.
The Minister was also briefed on ongoing B2B engagements in cancer research and med-tech collaboration using #AI tools, as well as public health capacity-building initiatives.
Both sides emphasised strengthening institutional partnerships and people-to-people ties as key pillars of a forward-looking and mutually beneficial India–Cyprus partnership.
