A Tribute to Indian Soldiers of the Italy Campaign

Honouring Indian Heroes in Italy

Ambassador Vani Rao presided over the Embassy’s tribute ceremony at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Florence, paying homage to the brave Indian soldiers who served in the Second World War – Italy Campaign.

Their courage, sacrifice and service remain a proud and enduring part of our shared history.

The ceremony saw participation from the CWGC, Italian authorities including the Italian Armed Forces, and members of the Indian community.
