Aprajita Sinha, a PhD student at the Cellular Immunology Lab and representative of the PhD student body at ICGEB Trieste, attended a prestigious event at the Trieste Chamber of Commerce last week. During the event, she had the opportunity to briefly present her ongoing research at ICGEB, highlighting cutting-edge work in cellular immunology, and engage in meaningful discussions with leaders from academia, industry, and diplomacy.
A key highlight of her visit was the interaction with H. E. Vani Rao, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Italy, who expressed keen interest in the innovative research being conducted by Indian scientists in Europe. Aprajita also connected with fellow researchers, including Romeo Pallikkara, a PhD student from India at the University of Trieste, pictured alongside her and the Ambassador.
This event not only provided a platform for young scientists like Aprajita to showcase their work but also strengthened scientific and cultural ties between India and Italy, fostering collaboration and dialogue within the Indian research community in Europe.
