Amb Marks International Women’s Day with Lt. Cdr. Vartika Joshi
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Embassy of India organized an engaging interactive session featuring Vartika Joshi, Lt. Cdr., NM (Retd.).
A distinguished veteran of the Indian Navy, Ms. Joshi led the historic Navika Sagar Parikrama—a landmark expedition that marked the first circumnavigation of the globe by an all-female Indian naval crew.
During the event, she delivered an insightful presentation on the expedition, sharing inspiring experiences, challenges, and lessons from the remarkable voyage. The session highlighted the spirit of leadership, resilience, and women’s empowerment.
The event was attended by members of the diplomatic community, representatives from the sailing community, and Friends of India.
