Strengthening India–Italy Trade Cooperation
Consul General Lavanya Kumar had a productive and forward-looking meeting with Andrea M. Zucchini, Regional Director of the Customs Department (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli) of the Liguria region, in Genoa on 16 December 2025.
The discussions covered a range of customs-related issues impacting India–Italy bilateral trade, with a focus on enhancing cooperation, streamlining procedures, and facilitating smoother movement of goods. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration between customs authorities, contributing to stronger trade ties and greater economic engagement between India and Italy.
