The Indian Air Force contingent arrived at the Mont-de-Marsan Air Base in France today to participate in the bilateral air exercise Garuda, a key engagement between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the French Air and Space Force (FASF).
Scheduled from 16 to 27 November 2025, Exercise Garuda aims to further enhance operational synergy, improve interoperability, and strengthen the long-standing defence partnership between India and France.
During the exercise, both air forces will undertake advanced aerial manoeuvres, joint missions, and tactical drills designed to simulate realistic combat scenarios. These engagements provide an important platform for the exchange of best practices, professional interactions, and the strengthening of mutual trust and understanding.
Exercise Garuda continues to serve as a cornerstone of India–France defence cooperation, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to regional stability, strategic partnership, and collaboration in the domain of air power.
