Shri Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, @MinOfCultureGoI, met Mr. Federico Mollicone, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Culture Committee, along with other dignitaries in Rome.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for an in-depth exchange on strengthening India–Italy cooperation in the fields of culture, heritage preservation, and creative industries. Both sides discussed sharing best practices in the conservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, promoting museum collaborations, and leveraging digital technologies for cultural documentation and access.
They also deliberated on cultural policies, legislative frameworks, and ways to foster institutional linkages between cultural bodies of both countries. The discussion underlined the shared vision of India and Italy to safeguard cultural heritage while embracing innovation and technology to make culture more accessible and sustainable.
The engagement reaffirmed the mutual commitment to deepening cultural diplomacy and building stronger people-to-people connections through joint initiatives, exchanges, and collaborative projects.
