Honouring the Bravery of Indian Soldiers at Cassino Memorial, Italy
The Embassy of India, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cassino, held a solemn ceremony at the Cassino Cemetery and Memorial to honour the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers who fought bravely during the Second World War.
As part of the commemoration, a gold crown was ceremonially laid at the Memorial in the presence of a delegation of officers from the Indian Army War College. The dignified ceremony paid heartfelt tribute to the bravery, courage, and selfless service of the Indian troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of Monte Cassino and other campaigns across Italy.
Their legacy of duty, honour, and devotion continues to inspire generations and stands as a timeless reminder of India’s contribution to global peace and freedom.
