EOI Copenhagen Celebrates 150 Years of Vande Mataram with Patriotic Fervour

The Embassy of India, Copenhagen celebrated the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram — India’s revered National Song — with great patriotic enthusiasm and pride. The event marked the beginning of a year-long commemoration honouring this timeless symbol of India’s unity and spirit.

The celebration was joined by the visiting delegation from the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), who enthusiastically participated in the collective singing of Vande Mataram. The chorus was beautifully led by renowned singer Ms. Nabanita Ghosh, filling the atmosphere with emotion and national pride.

Ambassador Manish Prabhat, in his address, paid he.artfelt tribute to Shri Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the legendary author of Vande Mataram. He highlighted how the song continues to embody India’s unity, courage, and enduring spirit, inspiring generations to come.

The Embassy announced that a series of upcoming events will be organised throughout the year to commemorate this historic milestone and to celebrate India’s cultural and national heritage
