NITI Aayog and INTA Discuss Progress on India EU FTA

Shri Suman Bery, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, along with senior officials, met members of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade Affairs (INTA). The meeting brought together representatives from across the political spectrum to discuss the ongoing India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations and explore ways to conclude them soon.

Both sides acknowledged INTA’s key role in strengthening India–EU trade and investment ties. They reaffirmed their shared goal of achieving a balanced, fair, and future-oriented agreement.

The talks focused on aligning priorities such as climate and energy cooperation, technology partnerships, and support for a rules-based global order.
They agreed that a successful FTA would not only boost bilateral economic relations but also contribute to global stability and growth.
