Participants from Portugal for the Pravasi Teerth Darshan Yojana (PTDY) have reached India! They will travel onboard the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a state-of-the-art Tourist Train for the Indian diaspora which will take take them to prominent tourist and religious destinations. The journey of 3 weeks will start on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas- January 09, 2025 ( in commemoration of the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to India on this day in 1915) and will include visits to Ayodhya, Patna, Gaya, Varanasi, Mahabalipuram, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kochi, Goa, Ekta Nagar (Kevadia), Ajmer, Pushkar and Agra.
