The Minister of State for Tourism, Shri Suresh Gopi, traveled to Italy to attend the G7 Tourism Ministers Meeting in Florence.
1.He met with Ms. Daniela Santanche, Italy’s Minister of Tourism, to discuss potential cooperation in the travel and hospitality industries. In order to improve bilateral people-to-people relations, they talked of exchanging trade missions.
2. Took part in the “Artificial Intelligence and Tourism” seminar. He discussed PM’s goal of utilizing AI to improve people’s lives and guarantee responsibility, safety, and trust. He emphasized that digitalization and artificial intelligence are important components of India’s 5Ps tourism strategy: Place, People, Product, Planet, and Promotion.
3. Had a fruitful discussion with H.E. Sherif Fathy, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
4. Engaged with the thriving Indian community and urged them to use Chalo India to market India as a specialized travel destination.
