Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman met H.E. Mr Ueli Maurer, Federal Councillor and Finance Minister of the Swiss Confederation, in New Delhi, today, and exchanged views on global economic issues and India’s upcoming G20 Presidency in 2023.
FM Smt. Sitharaman congratulated Switzerland for being elected as a non-permanent member of United Nations Security Council for 2023-24.
Both sides discussed areas for enhanced cooperation, including on fintech, automatic exchange of information, Renewable Energy, sunrise sectors as well as infra structure investments and Sustainable Finance.
