The highly transmissible Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus the most common form which is known as BA-1 now accounts for most of the covid cases at present and it is peak in many countries.
But surprisingly now scientists found a close cousin of omricon variant called as BA.2 which started out competing BA.1 in Europe & Asia.
It is called as “Stealth Subvariant”
BA.1 accounted for 98% of Global Cases but WHO observed increasing in the sub variant cases in several countries
