Finland Imposes New Entry Restrictions to Control OMICRON Variant.

Finland’s authorities have also stated that new entry restrictions are in effect as of today. Inorder to prevent the infection rate, Finland imposed preventive measures.

All visitors entering Finland must show proof of vaccination or recovery, as well as a negative COVID-19 test result obtained within 48 hours of arrival.The government of Finland has announced that the proposed amendments would effect individuals born in 2005 or earlier until December 31, and those born in 2006 or earlier beginning January 1, 2022.

According to WHO data, Finland has had 13,405 new infection cases and four deaths in the last seven days. The spread of COVID-19’s Omicron form, which has now been identified in Finland, has prompted the government to adopt further preventive measures in order to avoid a new outbreak.

Since the commencement of the pandemic, a total of 234,041 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus, with 1,523 people dying in the process, officail data provided by WHO.
