Germany to have First Fully Automated Train in Hamburg

German rail company Deutsche Bahn (DB) and cutting edge accomplice Siemens revealed their new fully automated, “Advanced S-Bahn Hamburg”  Train on Monday.

The train is constrained by digital technology and is fully automated . The driver stays on the train to oversee the excursion with travelers ready. Shunting, for example, turning the train around, is managed without on-board faculty. The undertaking accomplices DB, Siemens Mobility, and the City of Hamburg have put an aggregate of €60 million in the computerized S-Bahn Hamburg, which is essential for DB’s Digital Rail Germany project.

Deutsche Bahn CEO Richard Lutz said fully automated rains offer “a more solid” administration “without having to lay a solitary kilometer of new track”.

At Monday’s divulging, Siemens CEO Roland Busch lauded the new task as a “outline for digitalizing the rails in Germany, Europe and the world.”
