Germans and Latvians will no longer be allowed to travel into Norway without being quarantined upon arrival. The countries that have been exempted of testing requirements must now comply with the same rules for red countries Norway’s government had previously stressed that quarantine or other measures designed to stop the spread virus and its new strains wouldn’t be applied to travellers who are fully vaccinated and to those who have recovered from COVID-19. These measures were required due to the soaring incidence of Coronavirus infections, both in Germany as well as Latvia. In Germany, this has been six times greater than it was on August 4, when there were 3,571 cases and 9,280 on August 23, respectively. Latvia recorded 112 Coronavirus-positive cases in August, and reported 146 and one COVID-19 related death as of August 23.
