SUBJECT:- TIMELY SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL OF PASSPORT.
Attention of all concerned is invited to above mentioned subject. Instances have come to the notice of the Mission wherein applications for renewal of passports are made just before the intended date of travel to India or after the expiry of validity of current passport.
As per extant rules, passport applications for renewal can be made well in advance, one year before the due date of expiry of current passport. Accordingly, all concerned are requested to avail the facility of renewal of passports well before the due date of expiry in order to avoid procedural delays.
