The 10th India Day 2026 was celebrated in Helsinki, bringing together the Indian community and friends of India to showcase the countryโs rich cultural heritage and diversity.
Organised by Friends of India & Finland with the support of the Embassy of India, the celebrations were inaugurated by Ambassador Hemant H. Kotalwar, alongside Helsinki Mayor Daniel Sazonov, MP Jarno Limnell, Chairperson of Espoo City Council, and other partners.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Kotalwar spoke about the strengthening IndiaโFinland relationship and the importance of recent high-level engagements between the two countries.
The day featured a colourful blend of music, dance, cultural performances, Indian cuisine and community activities, celebrating the shared friendship and growing connections between the people of India and Finland.
