The 5th Badminton Tournament of BundB Sports e.V. and the third season of the NRI Badminton Champions League 2024 NBCL2024 were officially opened on December 7, 2024, by Consul General Mr. B S Mubarak. The Consul General joined the Indian Diaspora in Raunheim, spoke with the athletes and Indian community members, expressed gratitude for the initiative, and promoted sportsmanship and camaraderie. Over the weekend of December 7-8, 2024, the tournament took place.
The Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles contests were held on December 7, 2024, and the Women’s Singles, Men’s Singles, and Mixed Doubles events were held on December 8, 2024. Under the direction of NRIs who play badminton, BundB Sports e.V. hosts the NBCL for NRIs each winter with the goal of uniting all NRIs who like badminton in a communal activity, identifying the talent, giving them a stage on which to shine, and fostering connections via sports. In order to integrate NRIs with the local community and other international communities residing in Germany, the BundB Sports team hosts an open tournament during the summer. The Consul General expressed gratitude to Mr. Shivaraja Gowda and the whole BundB Sports team for putting the event together.
