The Indian consul Mohit Yadav responsible for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg

English translation: FÜRTH First Franconian wine was traded for Indian spices, then it was about politics. During his visit, the Indian consul Mohit Yadav, responsible for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, communicated a joint town twinning agreement with Lord Mayor Thomas Jung. Many Fürth companies such as Silbury, Uvex or Kurz had branches in India, Jung explained. The city wanted to further deepen these economic relations. The consul too is of the opinion: Such a partnership would be a win-win for both sides. “We are a young nation with excellent skilled workers, in the areas of IT and research.” The exchange with Germany was not only politically but also humanly valuable. Moreover, challenges such as climate change, digitalisation and the energy crisis could only be overcome together. Which city could be considered for a partnership, however, is still uncertain. It should not be too big, because Fürth is also quite small, Jung added to the consideration.
