Christmas Reception at The Nehru Centre, London
The High Commission of India, London hosted a warm and festive Christmas Reception, filling The Nehru Centre with joy, music and togetherness.
HC Vikram Doraiswami and H.E. Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía, Apostolic Nuncio to the Court of St James’s, jointly switched on the Christmas lights and cut the celebratory cake, marking the start of the festive season.
A delightful surprise visit from Santa added an extra touch of magic to the evening!
In his remarks, HC highlighted India’s unique spirit of celebrating festivals—bringing communities together, inspiring gratitude for the year past, and filling us with hope and optimism for 2026.
The event was elevated by a mesmerising performance from the Shillong Chamber Choir, founded by the late visionary Neil Nongkynrih, capturing the true essence of Christmas through their soulful music.
