The 8th National Handloom Day is going to be celebrated on 7 August 2022. The 7th August was chosen as National Handloom Day to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement which was launched on this day in 1905.

The National Handloom Day is observed annually to honour our handloom weavers and provide impetus to the handloom industry.
